| Winter time is a great time to make Christmas and Father's Day gifts. We made this fridge photo frame last year at Care For Kids. It is very easy. We used cardboard from a carton, some peanuts and other bits and pieces to decorate. We used hot-melt glue gun to stick on the nuts because it was quick but you could use craft glue if you wish. Carton cardboard is best because it's thickness gives depth and makes it look more like a real frame. They look even better if you paint them. | Quick Dress up costume. |
| Ever been given only a days notice that your child needs to dress up for Kindy or school? I have and since we don't have any ready made costumes it means having to think quick. Last week Jack tells me he has to dress up like a favourite book character and chooses to be a dog like Clifford. What to do? Well we grabbed a pair of Dads old socks and cut the bottoms off. We stiched these to an old beanine. Just used slip stitch so they will come off easy. We then used another old sock stuffed with old tea towel to make a tail and used a saftety pin to put it on the waste of his pants. A little face paint and there you have it. |
