Kitchen Prayer

Bless my little kitchen Lord,
I love it's every nook,
and bless me as I do my work
wash pots and pans and cook

May the meals that I prepare,
be seasoned from above.
With Thy blessing and Thy grace
Bust most of all - Thy love.

As we partake of earthly food,
the table You have spread,
we''l not forget to thank Thee, Lord
For all our daily bread

So bless my little kitchen, Lord,
and all those who enter in-
May they find naught but joy
and peace and happiness therein.

Outbackjack's Quick and really easy Meatloaf with Pineapple

The measurements are approximate for the fresh herbs, veggies and breadcrumbs. I don't measure much out when I cook at home.

500 grams sausage meat  1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 stick celery              1/4 large onion
1 can 450 g Golden Circle crushed pineapple
1/2 cup mixed grated vegies
1 packet chicken noodle soup mix
1 tablespoon fine chopped parsley
1 tbspn chopped spring onion tops

For the mixed grated vegies I just use up the left over bits in the bottom of my vegie draw. Last time this meant some swede, some carrot and some sweet potato.

Before you begin drain the pineapple really well. I drink the pineapple juice before the kids get home, tastes nice mixed with champagne.

I put all of the above ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix together with my hands until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Takes a couple of minutes.

Then line two 'loaf tins' with baking paper, or grease well with non-stick oil spray. I prefer the paper. Place in a pre-heated oven at approx 180 cand cook for 40 - 60 mins depending on oven type. I have an electric fan forced oven and it took 50 mins on 180.

When the meatloaf is  cooked tip off the 'juice/fat' and serve. Or you could cool on cake rack and have it cold for a picnic.
