Bullock Mountain Homestead- Far more than just a place to camp.
Bullock Mountain Homestead is situated just a short drive from Glen Innes in the New England Ranges New South Wales. Your Hosts Steve and Alison Wood share with you the magic of their property (all 1200 acres) in a variety of activities that are sure to satisfy every member of the family. Bullock Mountain Homestead offers fantastic opportunity to not only the Fossicker, but also the avid bird watcher, photographer, horse rider and bush walker. Fishing is also a pass time enjoyed by many with the Reddestone Creek having Yabbies and several species of fish. If you are quiet and up early you may also spot a platypus.

Accomodation costs are vary reasonable and comparable to any caravan park especially when you consider the setting you are in. No caravan park I have visited can offer this type of setting.

Horse Riding is a must at Bullock Mountain Homestead. You can choose from an hour to all weekend (Pub crawls on Horseback) and they cater for all levels of riding ability. The cost per hour is extremely reasonable and children as young as 6 can participate on a led horse. Our 6 year old son Jack enjoyed his first real horse experience here and it was great to see his confidence build over the four days we were here.

The trails you will experience are inspiring and I recommend you take your camera along with you as you will discover a whole host of wildlife on your ride. There are Kangaroos, Deer, Ducks, Black Cockatoos, wrens, parrots and many more.

Fossickers delight. Bullock Mountian is situated in Sapphire country and even a novice can find a sapphire or two. On our recent visit we found over 100 specimens with some being of high enough quality to cut and polish. Access to the fossicking sites is easy and you can have a lesson or two from Steve or Alison. They also offer half day guided fossicking tours with a local who has many years experience in this area. You can also take the easy way out by purchasing a bucket of mine gravel and sieve it at the Homestead. We found a few sapphires and Zircons  this way!
Childrens's Paradise. There is so much to do at Bullock Mountain Homestead your kids wont have a chance to be bored. Totem tennis, table tennis, soccer, cricket are all available at the Homestead. Walks along the creek, playing in the water holes, fossicking and even helping to feed the horses each evening kept our kids more than satisfied with their holiday. Family time around the nightly campfire was ejoyed by all and gives everyone a chance to not only meet new friends but also to toast a marshmallow or two. And if by chance you do want to do something more the beautiful town of Glen Innes is only a short drive away.
We give Bullock Mountain Homestead a big 4 star rating for a camping holiday experience.
